Alberta is located in western Canada. It borders Saskatchewan to the east, Northwest Territories to the north, British Columbia to the west and Montana state (US) to the south. Alberta is landlocked.
The capital city of Alberta is Edmonton, which is the main supply and service hub for Canada's oil sands.
Other municipalities in Alberta include, Calgary, Red Deer, Lethbridge, Medicine Hat, Fort McMurray, Grande Prairie, Camrose, Lloyd Minster, Wetaskiwin, Banff, Cold Lake and Jasper. The current Premier of Alberta is Hon Ed. Stelmach.
Alberta is a tourist destination with many attractions such as the natural sceneries including the Rocky Mountains and lakes, outdoor skiing, camping, outdoor festivals and professional athletic events. Alberta hosts millions of visitors annually.
