British Columbia
 
British Columbia (BC) is located far west of Canada. This westernmost province is known for natural beauty, which includes its many mountains. It borders Alberta to the east, Yukon to the north, US' state of Alaska and the Pacific Ocean to the west and US' states of Washington, Idaho and Montana to the south. BC has four main land regions. The Coast Mountains, the interior plateau, the interior mountains and the Northwest Lowland.
BC residents are known as British Columbians. According to Statistics Canada (2006), BC's population is an estimate 4402,931. Although Victoria is BC's capital, Vancouver is BC's largest city, and Canada's third largest metropolitan area.
BC is so picturesque. It is blessed with its beautiful landscape – many mountains and the pacific ocean. There are so many attractions in BC with so many activities including mountain climbing and skiing. BC enjoys mild weather through out the year. Not only does BC offer many outdoor adventures, it is home to class and sophisticated cities. In 2010, BC will be hosting the Vancouver 2010 Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games.
