Nova Scotia


Nova Scotia is located on Canada's south eastern coast.

It is one of the provinces in the Maritimes. The capital city of this province is Halifax. According to Statistics Canada (2006), it has an estimated population of 934,782. Residents of Nova Scotia are called Nova Scotians.

Nova Scotia has rolling hills and cultivated farms. Its towns and cities are vibrant and full of stimulating street life. Known as Canada's Ocean Playground, Nova Scotia is bordered by the Atlantic Ocean giving it hundreds of sandy beaches and deep bays.

No matter where you are in Nova Scotia, you are never more than 40 miles away from the sea. Some of the great activities in Nova Scotia include swimming, sailing and fishing.
